Comprehensive support throughout the employment process
What we offer

We are here to answer your HR questions

PAYE for Nannies has been providing clients with HR and employment advice for over 20 years.

We have provided support and offered advice to well over 30,000 clients during that period.

During the course of an employment, the employer is almost certain to have HR questions at some point. It may be about how to approach a disciplinary issue or the best way to deal with holidays and accrual of holiday entitlement, or how to the end the employment once the children are older, needs have changed and different childcare arrangements become necessary. The employee may become a parent and so the employer may need to pay for statutory leave. PAYE for Nannies is asked questions on these and many other HR topics every day and has advised clients on these issues literally thousands of times. We are always available on the end of the phone as in most cases it is quicker and easier to talk to someone to resolve what may seem at first sight to be a complicated issue.

We can advise on how to deal with all the issues which may arise in cases of sickness, including:

 - Repeated absences

- Long term sickness

- Payment during sickness

We calculate any SSP due and show this on the payslips.

If an employee becomes a parent, we can guide an employer through the detailed process which everyone needs to follow to comply with all the relevant legislation.  It is vital that the employer deals with this correctly in order to avoid any potentially costly legal issues.

We will advise on the content of the mandatory letters the employee needs to receive, tell the employer when parental leave can start and finish and we will calculate the parental leave payments due.  We will also apply to HMRC on behalf of the employer to ensure the employer receives a full refund of all parental leave payments they will need to make.

If the employee works fixed hours for 5 days per week for 52 weeks each year, paid holiday entitlement is simply 5.6 weeks or 28 days.  However, if the working days are of different length, if the employee only works during term time or hours are arranged on an ad-hoc basis, calculating holiday entitlement can become very complicated.

PAYE for Nannies will explain the different options that are open to you, will help with the calculation and give advice to ensure that you comply with the recent changes to legislation in this area.

PAYE for Nannies will produce a bespoke employment contract for you as a standard part of the Silver or Gold services (this is an optional extra with the Bronze service).  This is NOT a template contract and is put togther for each individual client.  It can contain additional clauses to handle unique aspects of your particular employment requirements and will ensure you are fully compliant with the latest legal requirements in this area.
